Accused lawyer's killers want autopsy

Queensland police are yet to give defence lawyers an autopsy report detailing how alleged murder victim Min Tae Kim died, a court has heard.

Mr Kim, a 28-year-old South Korean national, went missing in Brisbane in December last year.

He was last seen leaving for a meeting to exchange a large sum of currency after advertising his desire to swap cash online.

His body was exhumed a few days later from a shallow grave at Algester in Brisbane's south.

Another South Korean national, Sanghyun Hwang, 29, has been charged with his murder.

His case was mentioned on Monday in the Brisbane Magistrates Court, where the crown was given until mid-January to disclose outstanding material to the defence.

The court heard this included an autopsy report, ballistics and entomology reports, and phone records.

The matter will be mentioned again on February 2.

Hwang did not appear.
