A young Queensland woman will face court today, charged over the stabbing murder of her ex-boyfriend.
Police say the 22-year-old allegedly lured 26-year-old Freeman Brookes, to a street in Caboolture, north of Brisbane, before stabbing him in the stomach.
He managed to stagger to a nearby petrol station for help and was rushed to hospital, but died a short time later.
A 22-year-old woman was taken into police custody for questioning and was charged with murder yesterday.
9NEWS understands the victim and the accused had been dating since November last year until quite recently.
Mr Brookes had then started dating another woman, Dana Wade, not long ago.
Ms Wade told 9NEWS she was at his house when the alleged crime took place.
"He was a really nice guy, he was always there to help people, but obviously some people don't see that," she said.
The woman is due to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court today.
