Police car sent flying into air before landing on roof after collision
A police car rolled onto its roof in a dramatic crash on the Gold Coast last night.
Officers were responding to an urgent domestic violence call in Ashmore about 8.45pm last night, with lights and sirens on before the collision.
The police van was travelling through the intersection of Olsen Avenue and Southport-Nerang Road when a P-plater collided with it side-on.

Members of the public jumped to action and pulled the 28-year-old male officer and 28-year-old female officer to safety.
"I was just driving right here. I just seen everyone stopping and this car came flying in and just bang... hit him. Yeah, yeah... the car came rolling over here," a witness told 9News.
"Thought I was going to get hit myself."
Both officers were both taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The 27-year-old female driver of the other car escaped without injury. She has, so far, not been charged.
