Qld miner wins black lung compo claim

A central Queensland coal miner has won a worker's compensation claim due to suffering from black lung disease.

Keith Stoddart, one of six Queenslanders diagnosed with the potentially life-threatening disease, was successful when employers Anglo-American decided not to oppose his claim.

"At least I know they've recognised it and I'm not going through all this for nothing," he told ABC Radio. "I just was told there's not black lung anymore, and all this, when I first started."
