Qld midwives investigated over baby death
AAP
Two midwives have been referred to the medical disciplinary body over the death of a baby in Townsville.
The baby's mother filed a complaint in 2013 about the care given to her at the Townsville Hospital.
She alleged the midwives failed to diagnose and treat a medical condition that resulted in her baby being stillborn.

The midwives were cleared of serious misconduct by the Health Ombudsman, however the matter has now been referred to the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency for further investigation.
