Qld man punches cop, breaks her nose

A female police officer has a broken nose after being punched by a man in a busy Brisbane shopping centre.

The officer was at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre on Monday afternoon when she spotted a man, 26, who had been banned from the premises.

When she tried to arrest him, he allegedly punched her in the face.

She was taken to hospital with a broken nose.

The man has been charged with trespassing, obstructing police and seriously assaulting police.

He will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
