Qld elective surgery wait shortest in Aus

Labor has taken credit after Queensland was found to have the lowest median elective surgery wait time in the country.

The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare released a report on Thursday revealing the state had a median waiting time of 27 days, compared to Tasmania at 55 days.

"(This) shows a reward for the investment our government has made in frontline service delivery," Health Minister Cameron Dick told ABC Radio.
