Police searching for three youths who punched bus driver in the face in Coolangatta
A bus driver has been punched in the face by youths while sitting in his parked vehicle on the Gold Coast.
Police say he was parked in Coolangatta at about 10.15pm yesterday when 12 to 15 youths began banging on the door, demanding to be driven.
One youth, aged 12 to 13, gained entry by pushing the emergency release button and got into a scuffle with the driver who was punched in the face by the boy.
He is described as Caucasian, and of a slim build with light red hair and was wearing a black t-shirt and grey pants.
Two other youths entered the bus and also punched the driver in the face, causing swelling, before the group moved on.
