Pyne confident of holding onto seat

Federal cabinet minister Christopher Pyne isn't afraid of a possible challenge in his Adelaide seat from a candidate associated with popular independent senator Nick Xenophon.

Mr Pyne told ABC radio on Wednesday the people of Sturt had elected him eight times so far and he's confident they'll do it again.

Senator Xenophon has indicated he hopes to put up candidates in all 11 South Australian electorates at the next election, expected in the second half of 2016.
