'What's the problem, it's a fun party song': Fatman Scoop quizzes Scott Morrison’s decision to pull 'inappropriate' hip hop mashup video

Hip hop promoter Fatman Scoop has questioned Prime Minister Scott Morrison over his decision to pull a mashup video featuring his profanity-laced song “Be Faithful”.

On Thursday night, Mr Morrison posted an 11-second clip from Question Time showing Coalition MPs raising their hands in unison which was edited to the 2006 hip hop song.

Some pointed to some less than innocent lyrics from the song, including explicit references and swearing.

An hour later the video was taken down, with Mr Morrison tweeting an apology.

Fatman Scoop has since responded in a post to Instagram featuring the video.

“I am humbled to have my voice rocking in the highest offices of the Australian Government! with @scottmorrisonmp,” he wrote on his Instagram account.

Fatman Scoop protested the decision to pull the video on the grounds of “CURSING”, reminding readers “it’s a fun PARTY SONG that has no NEGATIVITY or HARM in it”.

Fatman Scoop concluded his post by inviting Mr Morrison to join him at the RNB Fridays Live party in November to watch, dance and discuss politics with the famous hype man in the “backstage area”.

“I don't have to agree with your policies but we can have spirited DEBATE about them and you can attempt to walk me through why you think like that,” he wrote.

RNB Friday Live, branded as “Australia’s biggest RnB party”, will visit Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

Mr Morrison has since posted a tongue-in-cheek response to his own Instagram account, expressing interest in attending the event.

“Definitely keen for R&B Fridays, @fatmanscoop. ‪Btw, probably best to send me the PG radio version next time,” he said.

The blunder came as the Liberal Party met in Sydney for the pre-selection of Malcolm Turnbull’s replacement in the seat of Wentworth.
