PM Malcolm Turnbull proving politics is no slam dunk

Malcolm Turnbull has proven that white men really can't jump when it comes to the game of basketball, after failing at shooting a bucket in Perth last week.

The Prime Minister was seen missing a shot from right in front of the basket at the Willerton Basketball Stadium.

Mr Turnbull's difficulty at the hoop brought back memories of his mentor and former prime minister John Howard's own sporting mishap in 2008.

In footage that will go down in history, self-confessed cricket tragic Mr Howard bowls a ball in Pakistan only for it to land right in front of him.
