Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has parted ways with her partner Shaun Drabsch.

Ms Palasczuk, 48, confirmed the split in a statement to the The Courier-Mail last night, and said she remained friends with Mr Drabsch.

“I have no other comment to make,” the Premier told the newspaper.

The couple began dating in 2015, with Ms Palasczuk appearing in a photoshoot with Mr Drabsch in last November’s issue of the Australian Women’s Weekly.

The Premier told the magazine of her heartbreak over her inability to have children.

“I can’t believe I actually did any of my jobs because it [IVF] was completely draining,” she said.

She also revealed that her infertility contributed to the end of her marriage to husband Simon Every in 2009.

Mr Drabsch’s role as an infrastructure adviser PricewaterhouseCoopers had sparked controversy during their relationship, because PwC had worked on the Adani mine’s application for $1 billion federal infrastructure loan.

Ms Palaszczuk denied any conflict of interest in regards to the loan in November, and pledged to veto it.
