A heavily pregnant mother says she’s unable to sleep after she was robbed at knife point in her Perth home, just a few weeks before giving birth.

Nayomi, 38, was threatened by two men armed with a knife, in the driveway of her Maddington home earlier this month.

They forced her inside the house where two of her children were sleeping.

“I told them to leave my kids alone so they shut the hallway door and then they went through my bag,” Nayomi said.

“It was just horrible.”

The two men stole two purses, bank cards and cash before pushing her off her back patio.

The mum-of-five injured her back when she fell, and the offenders jumped off the back fence before running away.

“I can’t sleep without nightmares, I don’t go out of the house at night,” she said.

“It’s horrible.”

“We are very concerned that this sort of incident has occurred in our community,” Detective Senior Constable George Kopsen told reporters.

“We have undertaken a number of actions to identify these people involved.”

One man has been described as being about 25-years-old, around 175cm tall and of medium build, while the other is of similar age but slightly taller and has a goatee.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
