Praise for PM in multicultural heartland

Malcolm Turnbull's national security speech has hit the right notes in the multicultural heartland of a western Sydney electorate.

Liberal MP Craig Laundy says the feedback he's received overnight from voters in Reid was overwhelmingly positive about the prime minister's message to unite Australia.

"The language was absolutely spot on," he told reporters in Canberra on Wednesday.
