Post office worker threatened with knife during armed robbery in Melbourne

A post office staff member was threatened with a knife during an armed robbery in Melbourne's west earlier this year.

Police say a man armed with the weapon entered a post office on Churchill Avenue in Braybrook at 1.33pm on February 14.

CCTV footage shows him approaching the front counter before threatening the staff member, who was then forced to open the cash register.

Police released CCTV and images of a man they believe may be able to assist them in their inquiries.  Victoria Police

The thief then grabbed what police described as a "large quantity of cash" and fled the scene on foot.

The staff member was not physically injured during the incident.
