Lucky escape as Porsche crashes through house, lands in child's bedroom in Sydney

A Sydney family had a lucky escape when an allegedly stolen Porsche four-wheel-drive ploughed through a wall and stopped in their 11-year-old's bedroom.

The family had gone away to Canberra for the weekend.

Suri Dang said she would usually have been in her Macquarie Fields room.

"That was my literal bedroom that was where I study and sleep and now it's knocked over," she said.

Mother Phuong Luu said, "If we were home, maybe my daughter would be in trouble".

Police say the Porsche four-wheel-drive was speeding and didn't make the turn on Evelyn Street, ploughing through a timber barrier, a power pole, a metal fence and finally the wall of the home at 5am today.

It's not the first near-miss.

In 2021 a P-plater missed their living room by centimetres.

Two years later a car smashed into the same fence.

The family is fed up and is asking the local council to act.

"Anything they can do to make us safe," Thai Dang said.

Firefighters said it was safe to remove the vehicle.

The investigation is in the hands of police as the Porsche was allegedly stolen.

Neighbours said two people ran from the wreck.
