Police Taser man with knife after car crashes into Adelaide waterway
A man wielding a knife has been Tasered by police during a bizarre chain of events in Adelaide.
CCTV footage captured the car revving its engine on a Mawson Lakes street about 9.30pm yesterday before it crashed into a nearby waterway.
"We opened the blinds just in time to see him swim to shore and climb out soaking wet," resident Rod Stubbington said.

The man allegedly fled the scene before police cornered him and saw he was wielding a knife.
Officers said they were then forced to use a Taser on the man.
"On your stomach now, on your stomach now," police said to the man.
The driver escaped injury and was taken to hospital for treatment as authorities winched the car from the water within an hour.
A police investigation into the crash is under way and charges are yet to be laid.
