Police SMS reins in rogue Vic driver

A rogue driver has turned herself in after Victorian police sent her a text message.

Police pursued the 22-year-old woman along St Kilda Road in the early hours of Tuesday morning but the chase was called off after she allegedly drove through a red light.

The Reservoir woman handed herself in after police sent her a text message just after 1am.

Police have charged the woman with driving offences.

She has been bailed and is due to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on July 10.
