Man surrenders to police after hours-long siege in Brisbane

A wanted man has surrendered to police after a siege in Brisbane's inner-north.

Police said the 33-year-old was found at a unit in Nundah about 4pm on Sunday.

Officers were speaking with the man and a woman inside the York Street building during a siege lasting hours.

Police said the man was wanted over "a number of weapons and criminal offences" surrendered without incident just after midnight.

A siege is under way as police negotiate with two people in inner Brisbane.
