Man to face court over alleged Adelaide hit and run

A man will today face court charged over an alleged hit and run in the Adelaide suburb of Norwood that left another man with serious injuries.

On Sunday, emergency services were called to reports a man had been hit by a van in George Street about 5.45pm.

They found the victim with serious arm injuries, after he had allegedly been dragged 40 metres along the road.

The injured man had allegedly confronted two men who stole his laptop from a nearby café before he was struck, 9NEWS understands.

Days later, police found the white Mitsubishi van believed to have been involved in the alleged hit-and-run burnt out on River Road in Port Noarlunga, about 30km from the Norwood scene. 

Police later arrested a 28-year-old Aldinga Beach man and charged him with a string of offences, including aggravated robbery and aggravated cause serious harm.

He has been refused bail to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.

A 23-year-old man was also arrested on Monday for allegedly assisting with the destruction of the van.
