Police release images of man wanted over alleged St Kilda sexual assault

Victorian police have released CCTV images of a man of interest following an alleged sexual assault in St Kilda last month.
A 27-year-old woman told police she was asleep on the beach, just off Beach Road, on February 15 when she woke up at around 8.30pm to find an unknown man sitting beside her.
The two had a short discussion before walking to a public toilet block on Jacka Boulevard.
Upon entering the toilets, the man allegedly proceeded to sexually assault the woman.
He then left the area and the woman reported the matter to police.
Detectives from the Sexual Crimes Squad have released CCTV from a nearby fast food restaurant of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the alleged assault.
He is described as being Caucasian, about 170cm tall with a solid build, shaved head and aged between 30- 40 years old.
He was carrying several black backpacks at the time.
