WA police are investigating the death of a worker in a mining lease in WA's Pilbara region.
The 26-year-old man was working in bush near the remote mining town of Newman with a colleague on Wednesday when he became ill and collapsed, WA Department of Mines and Petroleum said on Saturday.
The colleague tried to search for help but became disorientated and was later rescued by helicopter.
