Police probe bus stop murder of ‘kind and generous’ Perth father

Major Crime detectives are investigating the murder of a 43-year-old father at a Perth bus stop in November last year.

Ian Baz Bosch died after being attacked by an unknown offender at the bus stop opposite the Coolbellup Shopping Centre, on Cordelia Avenue, on the morning of November 19.

The 43-year-old landscaper had planned to catch a bus to run some errands, before picking up his 10-year-old son and five-year-old daughter, police said.

He was planning to take his daughter to a birthday party later that day.

The children’s mother, Emerald Baz, said Bosch was a private person who was “kind and generous”.

“He was the kind of person who would help in any way if he could,” Ms Baz said today.

“This has been very traumatic for his family, including his children, and we urge anyone with information to come forward.”

Detectives are particularly keen to speak to a man who was walking a small white dog near the shopping centre on November 19.

“They may have seen something which seems insignificant, but which may in fact be crucial in the context of our investigation,” Major Crime Squad Detective Senior-Sergeant Tom Mills said.

The investigation has included searches of bushland near the Coolbellup Shopping Centre, and repeated appeals for public assistance.
