'Unknown item' locks down busy street in North Sydney
A police operation this morning blocked off a street in North Sydney, after concerns about an item on the footpath.
An exclusion zone was put in place on Miller Street, between Blue Street and the Pacific Highway, shortly before 8am.
Footage captured at the scene showed multiple police vehicles in place with lights flashing, while ambulances were also on the scene.

NSW Police said an unknown item on the footpath had sparked safety concerns.
The item was checked and the roadblock lifted at about 8.15 am.
The area has been declared safe.
