Police officers draw their guns in dramatic arrest following two hour manhunt through Redbank Plains

There has been a dramatic end to a two hour manhunt in Queensland, after a man allegedly went on a drug-fuelled rampage through Redbank Plains.

Police were forced to draw their guns on a busy road just after 1.30 this afternoon.

They allege the 21-year-old had stabbed his mother and tried to strangle both his parents at home earlier today before fleeing.

Officers had been searching for him since 11.30 and believe he was on the drug ice.

When they managed to track him down, they screamed at him to get out of the car with their guns drawn.

The 21-year-old got out, dressed only in his underwear.

“Two coppers rushed out with their guns pointing get out get out,” witness Linda Butt told 9NEWS.

“The guy just gets out and he’s in his underwear.”

The man is now facing numerous charges and is expected to appear in court tomorrow.
