Police officers have used the emergency lights on their patrol car to get the party started for a group of local kids in the Kimberley.

Video shared by WA Police showed the trio of children dancing in front of the car with the speakers blaring and blue lights flashing earlier this week.

The impromptu disco was facilitated by Wyndham Police, who had earlier responded to a minor incident in the town.

Sergeant Simon Womersley told WA Today the children had helped resolve the issue.

“The police asked if the kids would like a ride in the police car back towards their house," Sgt. Womersley told the newspaper.

"Once there, they asked if police could turn the music up, so we also put on the blue lights and away it went."

Almost 100,000 people have viewed the clip since it was posted to Facebook, with many praising the actions of the officers.
