Police officer stabbed in the neck in Brisbane, man shot multiple times
A man has been shot multiple times and a police officer stabbed in the neck on a suburban street in Brisbane's south-east.
9News understands the offender lunged at police on Hillgrove Street in Mount Gravatt about 5pm today, stabbing an officer in the neck before another officer opened fire.
The man is now fighting for life in Queensland's Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Officers from Queensland Police's ethical standards command are now also travelling to the crime scene as part of an investigation into the incident. 9News
The seriously injured officer is being transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital.
