Police officer rescued after falling 3m during a training exercise in Queensland

A police officer who fell three metres during a training exercise earlier this morning has been rescued from the Sunshine Coast hinterlands.

The man, aged in his 50s, fell during an exercise with SES members at Mount Tibrogargan in the Glass House Mountains.

Paramedics were called just before 10am to reports that a man had fallen from a height of three metres.

The man suffered a cut to his elbow and injuries to his arm and face.

A CareFlight rescue helicopter had to be sent to rescue the man, who had fallen in an area difficult to reach by foot.
