Driver of car 'stolen from interstate' found after allegedly fleeing Adelaide smash

Police are investigating an alleged hit and run in Adelaide last night.

Emergency services were called to Mawson Lakes Boulevard to reports of a crash between a Hyundai sedan and a Honda sedan.

Police said the crash was so severe it caused the Hyundai to flip and land on its roof before the driver allegedly left the scene.

Officers in checks revealed the Hyundai had been stolen in early April from Redbank in Queensland.

The other driver involved was not injured.

The police found the driver of the Hyundai, who is a 29-year-old man.

He has been taken to the Lyell McEwin Hospital for treatment.
