WA police are on the hunt for a 29-year-old man who sparked a chase in Perth’s southeast.

Glen John Smith is wanted by officers after a police pursuit across Maddington last night.

He was seen driving a Toyota Landcruiser which was towing a trailer without wheels down Prosperity Drive and police gave chase.

Mr Smith mounted the kerb to evade the officers, driving recklessly across the suburb before dodging boom gates and fleeing, sending tools across a busy street.

“The car just ran around the corner here, realised it was a one way street, they came back and wheel just flew off” witness Marianne Cameron said.

“Heard a bang, looked out the window to see flashing lights speed past the house,” Dwayne Zappelli told 9News.

Police are now calling on the public to help track down Mr Smith, who is wanted for serious traffic and stealing offences.

The white 2009 Toyota Landcruiser has the registration 1GBQ321 and the 29-year-old is described as having a slim build, short brown hair, brown eyes and distinctive tattoos on his forearms.

Anyone who sees him is urged to call police.
