Police dog bails up alleged CCTV camera thief after chase
A police dog tracked down and detained a man allegedly stealing CCTV cameras from a construction site in Adelaide this morning.
Police were called to a home under construction on Goodwood Road in Colonel Light Gardens at about 2am after the owner spotted a man in the rear yard on his CCTV cameras.
The owner, who was not at the property at the time, provided officers with a description of the man, including his clothing, police said.

Police Dog Edge was called in and went through the property, out into an alleyway, and back onto Goodwood Road.
Edge then detained a man in the front yard of a nearby home.
Police allege that in a search of the area they found gloves, a drill, a headlamp, and stolen CCTV cameras dumped in a wheelie bin.
A 50-year-old Firle man was charged with multiple offences including theft and trespassing.
He was granted bail and will appear in court on March 11.
