Officer injured after cop car crashes into vehicle during high-speed pursuit
A high-speed chase in Perth has ended with a police car crashing into the allegedly stolen vehicle it was pursuing.
The moment the cars collided was captured on security vision.
The driver of the allegedly stolen car tried to flee but was arrested on foot.
A police officer was injured and treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The driver was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The chase began around 8pm in the Perth suburb of High Wycombe when the allegedly stolen car failed to stop for police.
The chase ended in a crash in Forrestfield 15 minutes later.
The driver has been charged with no authority to drive, failing to stop, reckless driving and stealing a motor vehicle.
His female passenger was also charged with stealing a car.
