Police appeal for information after Geelong teen assaulted

Police have released CCTV footage after a teenager was kicked in the face on a Geelong street while three people watched.

The 19-year-old male victim, from Bell Park, was sitting with a male friend outside a convenience store on Moorabool Street around 5am on Saturday morning when a red Holden wagon pulled up around the corner from Little Malop Street.

A man, described as being Caucasian with “red or fairish” hair wearing a dark maroon t-shirt and black shorts, got out of the car, approached and kicked the teenager in the face.

It is believed there were two men and a woman who got out of the car and watched. The victim’s friend reportedly tried to talk to the perpetrator.

The two groups are not known to each other.
