PNG, Aust to combat terror financing

Papua New Guinea and Australia are teaming up to fight money laundering and terrorism financing.

The Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre and the PNG Financial Analysis and Supervision Unit will share intelligence on suspicious transactions, after signing a deal in Sydney on Thursday.

AUSTRAC now has 87 formal arrangements to share financial intelligence with other countries.
