Prime Minister Tony Abbott has cautiously welcomed a deal to stop Iran getting a nuclear bomb.
But he says the deal must stop, rather than just delay, Iran getting nuclear weapons to prevent an arms race.
"The last place we want to see a nuclear arms race is the Middle East and if any further country gets a nuclear weapon I suspect there will be a lot of other countries rushing for them," he told reporters in Canberra.
