PM and minister meet mental health heads

Malcolm Turnbull and one of his most senior lieutenants have held talks about mental health and suicide prevention with industry leaders.

The prime minister and Health Minister Greg Hunt met with sector heads from organisations including Lifeline, Beyond Blue and the Mental Health Council in Sydney on Monday.

"There is always more to be done and our brilliant mental health leaders have some very important ideas about more front line services and better protection for patients after hospital care," Mr Hunt said afterwards.
