Ex-Playboy model charged with drug trafficking

A former Playboy model has been charged with trafficking cocaine on the Gold Coast.

Jennifer Kachel was arrested yesterday and spent the night in custody before appearing at Southport Magistrates Court today, The Sydney Morning Herald reports.

The 28-year-old faces six charges including producing and possessing drug-related items and drug trafficking, .

The model reportedly came under police surveillance last year as part of a wider police operation.

This week her home was raided with police allegedly finding 28g of cocaine.

Kachel's lawyer Andrew Maloney managed to secure her release, arguing she had no criminal history and strong links to the Gold Coast.

She will appear in court again on March 31.
