Two people make lucky escape after plane crashes in rural Victoria

Two people on board a light plane made a lucky escape after the aircraft crashed into a paddock near a Victorian airport this afternoon.

Authorities say the crash occurred near Latrobe Regional Airport in Traralgon about 1.25pm today.

Paramedics say the man and woman who were on board the plane were shaken, but not injured.

There is no word on what caused the plane to crash.

Authorities are at the scene investigating.
