Pilot dies in plane crash west of Brisbane

A man has died after a light aircraft crashed into a paddock west of Brisbane on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency services say paramedics were called to the scene, near Bowenville, north-west of Toowoomba just after 2.15pm.
Police say the pilot, a man aged in his 60s, was declared dead at the scene.

Initial investigations indicate the aircraft crashed onto powerlines on Malu Road.
Police are investigating.
