Drivers on Australia’s coast have seen petrol prices drop to their lowest level in 15 months.

Prices are currently sitting at $1.16 in Sydney and Brisbane while Melbourne has petrol for $1.17.

The cost at the pump is even lower in Adelaide with petrol at just $1.11 per litre, while Perth has petrol for $1.14.

In the past month, prices on unleaded, premium and diesel have been gradually dropping one or two cents every few days.

Global oil prices are at the lowest they have been in months, sitting around the $60 a barrel.

The strengthening Australian dollar and a downturn in the petrol pricing cycle means the lower prices will stick around a while longer.
