Woman run down in front of husband and stunned bystanders at Perth service station

A woman has been run down and pinned under a ute in front of her husband in a callous hit and run at a Perth service station. 

After a verbal altercation, a man driving a Holden ute sped away from the Woolworths petrol station on Warton Road in Southern river, hitting the woman and another bystander. 

The woman’s legs were pinned under the ute and she was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

In chilling CCTV released by WA Police, the woman can be seen prone on the ground before the blue ute drives away as bystanders give chase.

The driver managed to flee the scene but was later arrested by police. 

The 44-year-old Gosnells man was charged with two counts of committing Acts or Omissions likely to cause danger.
