Train services in Perth have continued uninterrupted despite a stop-work meeting of transport staff about a new collective wage agreement.

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) warned on Wednesday morning that train operations could be affected between about 10.30am and 2.30pm, with the meeting scheduled for midday.

PTA spokesman David Hynes said the Industrial Relations Commission had ordered the staff to stay at their posts.

A few dozen staff who were not involved in the operation of trains attended the meeting in their usual lunch break, which they were allowed to do, but train operators kept working, Mr Hynes said.

Replacement bus services have been stood down.
