Family pays tribute to Perth teen killed after street fight

A teenager who died after a street fight in Perth’s south last week is being remembered as a “precious little boy”.

Jacob Cummins died  following a fight between teenagers which spanned the suburb of Canning Vale.

The 17-year-old was killed when 20-year-old Aya Hishmeh allegedly mowed down a group of boys with her car last Thursday, killing Mr Cummins and injuring four others.

Ms Hishmeh’s cousin, a 35-year-old man, was today charged with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Police alleged he stabbed a 16-year-old boy in the stomach at Canning Vale McDonald’s prior to Mr Cummins’ death.

Mr Cummins family said the incident feels like “a bad dream”.

"We are devastated and heartbroken that Jacob - our only child has been taken from us," the family said in a statement.

"Jacob was a good kid. He was not in a gang. He was just a normal teenager - our precious little boy."
