Firefighters battle shipyard blaze
9News Staff
There was alarm at a shipyard in Henderson in Western Australia this afternoon after a fire started burning below a large vessel.
Firefighters arrived on the scene and set up an exclusion zone around the HMAS Darwin, a decommissioned frigate, as they fought the blaze from a distance.
There were fears that the fire could be fuelled by nearby LPG cylinders, gas and oxygen tanks, however the blaze is now under control.
