Temperatures are set to soar even further in Perth over the next three days as the city swelters through one of its hottest early December weeks in almost a century.

Maximum temperatures have stayed above 31 degrees over the past four days, with some suburbs hitting more than 35.

Emergency crews are on high alert as the hot weather is fuelled by easterly winds strong enough to rip the roof off a Gosnells Community Lotteries House.
