Perth radio host Shane McFarlane dies from ongoing gastric issues

MIX 94.5 Breakfast presenter Shane McFarlane has died due to ongoing complications with gastric issues.
The radio station posted a statement on its official Facebook page today, confirming the breakfast host had died.
"Shane has been part of the MIX 94.5 family for 14 years and will leave an enormous hole in our hearts and on our airwaves," the statement read.
"We extend our deepest sympathy to his family and friends and welcome your messages of support and love."
Last month McFarlane took leave from the role because of "ongoing gastric issues".
McFarlane co-hosted Perth's number one commercial breakfast show alongside Dean Clairs and Kymba Cahill.
