A short police pursuit through Perth last night ended when the fleeing car slammed into five other vehicles.

WA police said they initially spotted the Honda Accord as it drove through Bedford and began their pursuit about 7.40pm.

About five minutes later the car crested a hill near Beuford and Drummond streets and slammed into five separate parked cars before coming to a stop.

All of the cars involved in the crash were damaged.

It is understood the car being pursued was carrying at least one passenger at the time and police allege the driver got up to speeds of 90km/h.

The occupants of the vehicles were accessed by St Johns Ambulance and found to have no serious injuries, a police spokesman said.

Police allege the driver tried to flee the scene but was stopped by officers nearby.

The 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with failing to stop, reckless driving, driving without a licence and having false plates on his car.

He is expected to face Perth Magistrates Court later today.
