'I said I got no money': Pensioner bashed in home invasion

A Perth pensioner has been left battered and bruised after he was ambushed by a group of thugs in the middle of the night.

Ron Giles was pinned down and repeatedly punched in the head by three men who broke into his Narrogin home around 12.30am yesterday.

Mr Giles told 9NEWS he woke up to the sound of someone kicking in his back door and when he went to investigate, the men fled but then returned.

“He said you got any money, I said I got no money, and he started punching me then,” Mr Giles said.

“Every time I tried to get up he put his foot down and push me down again.

“He said to the young blokes come on that’s enough, and away they went.”

Police are now searching for three men who are described as around 18-years-old with dark skin.

“It’s an awful crime, especially in our small community and someone knows who’s done this and we urge them to contact Narrogin detectives and Crime Stoppers,” Detective Senior Constable Kirsten Morrow said.
