Mother with terminal cancer survives 30 hours in bushland

A terminally ill Perth mother has survived 30 hours missing in dense bushland, after she fell and hit her head  

Concerns were raised for 55-year-old Hazel Douglas Henry after she discharged herself from hospital against medical advice.

She was spotted on security cameras walking into Kings Park at 5.30am on Monday

The Balcatta local was diagnosed with terminal cancer in February and was recently given weeks to live.

Her husband said she did not want to spend her final days in hospital. 

Her family broke down in tears when they learned she had been found by an SES search dog just before 11.30am this morning. 

Hazel had spent the night curled up under a tree with no food or water.

She was taken back to hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during her ordeal.
