How you could nab a bargain and fly to Europe for as little as $310

Australians wanting to head Europe this winter may be able to nab a bargain, with some flights on sale for a fraction of the usual price.

Budget airline Scoot has launched a deal that can get passengers from Perth to Greece for as little as $310 one way.

To break that down, the airline is charging less than two-and-a-half cents per kilometer.

In comparison, other airlines charge almost double that price, with Singapore Airlines charging around $740 one way, it costs close to $900 on Thai Airways and flying with Qantas is more than $1000 one way.

Aviation expert Ellis Taylor told 9News it is important to read the fine print, as the cheap rate doesn’t include food or checked baggage.

“The cheapest fares are designed to kind of lock you in and if that's fine, perfect, but if you need some flexibility maybe consider one of the higher fares,” he said.

“You're looking at really just getting your seat. They’ll be quite strict on things like oversize baggage, if you go over your allowance you'll get whacked on baggage fees, etc.”

The deal with Scoot finishes on Friday.
